When Katie and Ronnie suggested having their engagement session at Timberline, I was beyond excited! Although I had never photographed there while it wasn’t blanketed in snow, it’s a place I adore and frequent during the winter for snowboarding. The allure of Timberline Lodge, nestled close to the peak of Mt Hood, is truly captivating. Sitting at an elevation of 6,000 ft, the lodge offers breathtaking views that make you feel like life is on top of the world. I kept my fingers crossed for clear weather, and were we in luck!

We kicked off the session with the sun peeking through the trees, casting a beautiful glow on our surroundings. As the day progressed and the sun began its descent towards the horizon, we were able to move away from the shade and closer to the magnificent mountain. What stole my heart during this session was the incredible sunset hue reflecting off the slopes of Mt Hood—it painted the scene with a romantic shade of pink. It was truly magical!
